Pickets in Support of Andrei Klimau to Be Held in Minsk

The appeal for pickets in support of the oppositional politician Andrei Klimau planned for May 21-22 has been sent to Minsk City Executive Committee. The first picket is planned to take place near the prosecutor’s office of Minsk, while the second one is to be organized near confinement cell #1.
Klimau was arrested in Minsk on 3 April. He is accused of appeals to throw down or change the existing constitutional order. The reason for the arrest was the politician’s articles published on the web site of the UCP. Andrei Klimau may be sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment.
