Anatol Liaukovich Fined

Penalty of 20 base rates (Br 620 thousand) was imposed on acting chairman of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) Anatol Liaukovich. The judgment was made by the Savetski court of Minsk, human rights defender Aleh Vouchak reported to the BelaPAN.

Anatol Liaukovich was detained at 52/2 Rakasouski Avenue where Hramada party’s office is located. He was brought in the Audi (plate number 2137-AI-7) to Savetski police department where the report of administrative offense was made. A. Liaukovich was charged of violation of the 1 May festival meeting procedure. The festival demonstration and meeting were allowed only in Banhalor Square (Druzhby Narodau Park).

Marching of a part of the meeting participants representing Hramada party from the place of their gathering at the crossroads of Iakub Kolas and Surhanau Streets to Banhalor Square was declared as offense. Anatol Liaukovich participated in the march.
