Human Rights Activist Katsiaryna Sadouskaya Denied Early Release

This information was mailed by Sadouskaya home form Homel women’s colony. According to the human rights activist, the appropriate commission twice studied her characteristic and ruled that the prisoner ‘didn’t step on the way of correction’.

‘My wife has no disciplinary punishments, but the commission members disliked her answers to several questions. For instance, they asked her who was the wisest man in Belarus and even hinted, but she didn’t say what they wanted to hear,’ said Kazimir Sadouski.

The duty policeman of Homel women’s colony gave no comments and refused to give the telephone number of the head of the colony Sviatlana Pokhadava.

Katsiaryna Sadouskaya was sentenced to 2 years of jail for ‘defamation of the authorities’.
