Aliaksandr Milinkevich Asks UN Countries Not to Elect Belarus to Human Rights Council

In his appeal the leader of the united democratic forces of Belarus writes:

‘The Belarusian democratic parties and NGOs are against giving to the Belarusian parliament a seat in the UN organ the aim of which is to promote respect to fundamental liberties and human rights…

In 2006 the situation of civil, political, economical, social and cultural rights in Belarus constantly deteriorated.
