Activist Shauchenka addresses UN

Today the election of fourteen members of the Human Rights Council will be held. Belarus is one of the candidates. On this occasion, Valer Shauchenka, an activist from Navapolatsk, sent a fax to the UN headquarters, as well as to Lukashenka’s administration and a number of foreign embassies.
In his letter he told about the persecution that he faces. He says it is connected with his activity as a trade union leader.
