The answer of the authorities was signed on June 15 by the deputy chairman of Vitsebsk city executive committee Pavel Losich. The applicants are told that ‘the community of the city hasn’t raised any questions concerning the 5-year verdict to Professor A.Kazulin. The former candidate for presidency Aliaksandr Kazulin had not been brought to trial in Vitsebsk, that is why the picket is not relevant (for Vitsebsk dwellers)’, AFN reports.
The city executive committee reasoned their position by the fact that ‘the administration of Chyhunachny borough has rubberstamped a plan of mass cultural and sports events in the park of railway workers for the whole summer period. For the period of summer vacations all events for schoolchildren who are staying in summer groups in schools, are held in the park of Railway workers’.
’On these grounds, the city executive committee finds it inexpedient to hold the pickets you apply for’, the answer reads.
