Criminal Charges against Young Front Activist Sent to Court

The prosecutor’s office sent a criminal action against Ivan Shyla, leader of Salihorsk branch of Young Front, to court. In conjunction with this, on Friday Ivan was summoned by the investigator to get acquainted with the materials of the case. It is expected that Shyla’s status of a suspect would be changed to a status of an accused.

As we reported earlier, in the middle of spring Ivan Shyla was charged under Article 193.1 for activities on behalf of Young Front. Ivan claims, Young Front is going through the phase of registration for the third month. Human rights activists hope that this factor would be sufficient enough to defend the activist from becoming a political prisoner.
