Valery Shchukin tried to appeal the fine of about 590 US dollars to which he had been sentenced on 8 June for alleged insult of workers of a circuit election commission during the latest election to local deputy soviets.
However, the college board of Vitsebsk regional court didn’t satisfy his cassation appeal. It also rejected the prosecutor’s protest against the verdict (the prosecutor of Pershamaiski borough of Vitsebsk Talkachou insisted on arrest instead of fine).
