Baranavichy: Viktar Parnachou Ordered not to Disconnect Phones

Today, on 13 August, a 22-year-old resident of Baranavichy Viktar Parnachou received an order from the police not to disconnect his home and mobile phones. He was also warned about possible summons to Baranavichy city police department of internal affairs.
The police detained Parnachou in the night of 11 August. The activist was accused of relation to graffiti on the walls of the city court: ‘Stop persecution of Young Front!’ and ‘Stop persecuting democratic youth!’.
According to Viktar Parnachou, the activist was detained till 4 a.m. The police searched his personal belongings, found a paint balloon and took a sample of the paint. On 11 August Parnachou was summonsed to Baranavichy city police department and composed a report.
Mr. Parnachou stated to RFE/RL that Baranavichy police demanded from him to take the blame and confirm his membership in an unregistered organization Youth Front.
