After a visit to memorable places in Kosava a group of youngsters (consisting predominantly of members of BPF Youth) rested in Ivatsevichy district. Today they have been detained by the police.
The leader of the BPF Party Vintsuk Viachorka said to RFE/RL on the phone: ‘As I learned from the telephone calls of Siarzhuk Semianiuk and Franak Viachorka, they were taken to Ivatsevichy district police department. There major Vysotski dealt with them, accusing them of petty hooliganism and dirty swearing.
On 17 August Ivatsevichy police detained this group of youth for the first time, on suspicion in theft of mobile phones. Later the activists were released, but the police warned them about possible problems in case they did not leave Ivatsevichy district. That time all police officers were engaged in interrogation of the detainees. Two judges arrived to Ivatsevichy district police department. They managed to hold trials of Illia Bohdan and another activist there. However, when they were writing verdicts, the police received an order to release all the detainees.
