In Babruisk the daughter of an activist of For Freedom! movement Ales Chyhir was not transferred to the 5th grade. Instead Chyhir received a letter from the headmaster. In this letter the father was proposed to take his daughter to another school. According to the official version Alisa Chyhir did not pass the entrance exams to the senior grades of the gymnasium. However, there are no examination minutes and orders for the establishment of the examination commission. Mr. Chyhir has a 13-year record as a teacher and knows all details of the educational process.
The activist thinks that his incident is connected to his political activity. A year ago he was fired from a school for openly political reasons. The matter is that in September 2006 he chained himself to a lamp-post opposite Babruisk town executive committee and was sentenced to 10 days of jail for it. As a result, he was fired from school for ‘truancy’. Alica passed food parcels to him and told other children about it. Besides, she already knows that she would by no means join the pro-governmental Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM). That’s why she became a ‘problem pupil’ for the Slavonic gymnasium.
Ales Chyhir did not take her documents from the gymnasium. On 1 September, the first day of studies, Alisa will come there.
