Policeman Fails to Appear in Court

On September 21st Centralny court of Minsk tried activist Tatsiana Tsishkevich who had been charged with disobedience to police. Tatsiana Tsishkevich denies the fact. The girl claims, police officer Yury Miatselski detained her after her request to give her the book of complaints and suggestions. The activist was going to write a complaint about the actions of police officers. RFE/RL reports, three witnesses testified before court that the police officers had been rude towards Tatsiana Tsishkevich. On September 21st Yury Miatselski did not appear in court, just as he failed to come on September 19th. Judge Tatsiana Pauluchuk said she would take appropriate measures if the witness fails to appear in court for the third time without any official reason.
