On October 22nd Minsk city court will hear thecase of Yuras Aleinik, student of the Academy of Management, member of the Belarusian Association of Journalists. The young man was expelled from college for violation of the standing orders and discipline (this is the official reason for expulsion). However, human rights defenders think he was expelled for political reasons. Yuras Aleinik’s casewas considered by Kastrychnitski court of Minsk twice. In August Minsk city court satisfied Aleinik’s complaint and sent the case back to Kastrychnitski district court for revision. However, judge Kruhava recognized the actions of the Academy administration legal. Today Yuras Aleinik and his lawyers will appeal against this decision to Minsk city court. The hearing will start at 10 a.m. at Dunina-Martsinkevich Street, 1.
