Entrepreneurs Detained on the Way to Minsk Action

The minibus was heading for Minsk, as Kryval and Tsatsura intended to take part in an action of protest of entrepreneurs in Kastrychnitskaya Square of Minsk.
The senior lieutenant Siarhei Mironchyk and Major Vasil Shamanski asked the entrepreneurs to get out of the car and come with them to the police department.
Bear in mind that in the evening of 9 January at the crossing of Starazhouskaya and Bahdanovich Streets in Minsk the police detained the political activist Viachaslau Siuchyk. The same day in Rechytsa the police detained an activist of the entrepreneurs’ movement Aleh Shabetnik, who was also going to the protest action. Today he will be tried for ‘dirty swearing’.
HRC Viasna also learned that today in many cities of Belarus the police warned the most active entrepreneurs about possible punishments for participation in unsanctioned meetings and strikes.
