Kasia Krasnova receives 15 days, Maksim Viniarski is next

Centralny court of Minsk began hearing of the administrative case against Maksim Viniarski, activist of the “Jeans – for freedoom” campaign. He was detained yesterday together with Paval Kuryanovich, at the entrance of the court building. The police claim he was using foul language. There is a number of violations of the procedural legislation during the trial: Viniarski was not given an opportunity to read through the police report and was not even given its copy.
Meanwhile, the judge announced a break in the court session. After the break the trial was resumed, however, the police did not allow Maksim’s family, friends, reporters and human rights defenders into the court room. In fact, the trials are closed for public.
