The trial over Yuras Stankevich, resident of Maryina Horka, is over. Tatsiana Pauliuchuk sentenced the activist to 15 days of jail under article 17.1 of the Administrative Code (disorderly conduct).
The trial is observed by human rights defenders, representatives of OSCE mission, and the US Embassy in Belarus.
Meanwhile, RFE/RL reports, youth activist Mikita Shutsiankou disappeared from the building of Centralny court of Minsk in unclear circumstances. His friends say he came as a witness to the trial over Maksim Viniarski. He stood in the corridor together with others. When every one went to the court room, they discovered that Mikita was not with them anymore. Before that he told his friends he was followed by police from the moment he left his house. His friends do not exclude that he would also be accused of using foul language or participation in an unauthorized action.
