Institute of international election observation is a purely political tool, Lidia Yarmoshyna, chairperson of the Central Election Commission, stated in the interview to Belaruskaya Dumka magazine.
According to her, the institute of international election observation appeared in the beginning of the nineties of the last century. The Western countries, and first of all, the United States, created that as a tool for control and regulation of election processes on the post-Soviet area. Depending on their satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the election, the elections are announced transparent and democratic, or non-transparent and non-democratic, Lidia Yarmoshyna said. When elections are rated negatively, the country gets under sanctions.
The chair of the Central Election Commission of Belarus stressed, from the legal point of view the conclusions of the international observers have no legal force. They can not be called either unbiased, or independent.
