Pastor of Jesus Christ Church Complains to Mazyr Authorities

On 4 March Siarhei Suzko, pastor of the parish of full gospel Christians of the Jesus Christ Church, directed complaints to Mazyr district executive committee, Mazyr town prosecutor’s office and Homel oblast executive committee against the actions of workers of the ideological department of Mazyr town executive committee.

According to the parishioner Pavel Nazdra, the reason for the complaints was the recent visit of the workers of the ideological department Tatsiana Hancharova and Tatsiana Nabok to the parish’s house. ‘On 29 February parishioners gathered in the private house where the church is registered. At about 8 p.m. the workers of the ideological department together with the police came to the private house in order to ‘get acquainted with the parishioners’, as they said. They put down the passport data of the believers and composed an act that the prayer house was ‘misused’. The pastor is very surprised with such a formulation and asks the authorities to explain why the workers of the ideological departments hold such check-ups and compose such senseless acts,’ Nazdra explained.
