Homel students prohibited to celebrate Liberty Day

According to Aliaksandr Liasko, first-year student of History Department, on March 20 University vice-rector Siarhei Khanenia said that in case he went to Minsk on March 25 and were detained by the police he could be expelled form the University.
Aliaksandr also said that the above-mentioned vice-rector had had a conversation with his mother in spite of the fact that he is of age already. His mother was told that Aliaksandr had been organizing ‘groups’ at the University.
Liasko also said that the University administration had talked to a number of students that had been involved in youth democratic movement and informed them about the possible consequences of their participation in the March 25 events in Minsk.
