‘I started having problems at work when my intention to run at the election became widely known. Babruisk KGB officers suddenly started paying interest to my place of work and asked the local democratic activists about it. 1.5 years ago I purposefully found a job of storekeeper at Baranavichy poultry factory because I knew I could not find any job in my town. But they got even there! I was going to take a loan, but the head of my workshop said that I would not get one because soon I would be fired. That’s how I found that they were ordered to fire me.’
Taisiya Kabanchuk said that her working contract with the poultry factory expired only in February 2009, when he would be a pensioner.
‘The contract will be annulled because of a bill of parcels signed by the head of the workshop’, said Taisiya Kabanchuk. ‘She is a pensioner and does not want to lose her job. Most probably, she was asked to provoke a conflict with me and was promised a prolongation of working contract for it… She did not hide that he sought a reason to get rid of me. Now I am waiting for the final decision of the administration, but have no hopes for the better. I found from my colleagues that it was demanded from the administration of the poultry factory to fire me quickly.’
