Homel: authorities prohibit collecting signatures for nomination of candidates to electoral commissions

The resident of Homel Yanina Kavalchuk has complained to RFE/RL that obstacles have been put to her while she was collecting signatures for nomination of the representative of the Independent trade union of radio electronic industry Viktar Kazou to Homel-Navabelitskaya district electoral commission #36.

The woman was not let in the hostel where the workers of the local fat combine live. The janitor phoned to the deputy head of the ideological department Liubou Tkach and she told him not to let anybody in without permission of the district executive committee.

Now Yanina Kavalchuk is going to appeal to the Central Electoral Campaign against this violation of the electoral laws.
