Pastor’s house set afire thrice this month

According to the informational center Evangelic Belarus, at 3.30 a.m. on 10 July in Mahiliou there has been committed an attempt of arson of a private house belonging to Viktar Masharouski, pastor of Mahiliou church of Evangelic Christians.
A month ago, in the night of 8-9 June, the second floor of the house and the rear wall of the house where the pastor and his family dwell, have been burnt. Viktar Masharouski thinks that petroleum has been spilled on the wall during the arson. In a fortnight unknown persons repeated the attempt of arson. When the pastor and his allies started repairing the roof, they noticed the traits of fire on the boards. They felt the sent of petroleum and found a burnt matchstick on one of the logs.
In addition, before Easter somebody stole expensive equipment from the church building. The unknown criminals remain unpunished.
