On July 31st the Central Election Commission considered the complaint of Zmitser Vinahradau from Miadzel. Vinahradau complained against registration of his initiative group and creation of obstacles during submission of documents.
CEC upheld the decision of Vileika district commission # 64 to refuse registration of Vinahradau’s initiative group. Vileika commission based its decisions on the statement of one of the group members, Mr. Adamovich, that he had been included there without his will. During the hearing the CEC claimed Vinahradau failed to prove the facts that Adamovich had written his statement under pressure.
Zmitser Vinahradau says he will appeal to the Supreme Court against the decisions of Vileika election commission and CEC.
CEC chair Lidziya Yarmoshyna said it was within prosecutor’s competence to consider another Vinahradau’s complaint about police creating obstacles for submission of documents to the district election commission.
