A KGB officer Yury Salauyou has called to the deputy head of the Belarusian Popular Front Party, candidate to the Chamber of Representatives Aliaksei Yanukevich to invite him to a ‘talk’ in connection with the blast which had taken place in Minsk on 4 July in the morning.
Mr. Yanukevich asked the officer to make everything as it should be: ‘I asked for being sent a writ with information why and in which capacity I was invited. I am convinced that the KGB knows well enough that I have no information concerning this explosion. Frankly speaking, the aim of it all is not quite clear for me: it is evidently connected to the elections, but it is also evident that I can nether be intimidated with such invitation, nor be accused in any relation to this case. Most probably, it is just the work of the stupid scheme which is always started in our country before elections.’
