On 30 September the co-chairman of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party Vital Rymasheuski was detained at the Minsk airport while going to an international conference in Berlin.
The detention took place after his ticket was checked and the luggage was packed. ‘On the way to the plane the border guards ran up to me and guarded me to a special room for personal examination and searching my belongings,’ said Rymasheuski. They ordered him to switch off his mobile phone. They examined him and searched his luggage for about 20 minutes. Only then he was allowed to enter the plane. The flight was delayed for about 20 minutes because of this incident.
