On1 February the Pershamaiski District Court in Minsk started the retrial of the criminal case over entrepreneur Andrei Bandarenka.
The first trial took place in 2009 and was lead by Judge Leanid Yarmolenka. Bandarenka was found guilty of stealing money and sentenced to 7 tears of imprisonment with confiscation of property. On 15 December the verdict was reversed by the Minsk city court and the case was returned for retrial.
According to information of the UCP activist Aliaksandr Siarheyenka, T.Ravinskaya, Judge of the Pershamaiski district court in Minsk, questioned the sides to the criminal case and listened to speeches of Bandarenka’s lawyer Zmitser Layeuski and the state prosecutor.
